How does Power Transformers works?
High Effecient Power Transformers work on the principle of electromagnetic induction. They consist of two or more coils of wire wound around a common core made of laminated iron. The primary coil, also known as the input coil, is connected to the power source, and the secondary coil, also known as the output coil, is connected to the load.
When an alternating current (AC) flows through the primary coil,Professional Power Transformers creates a changing magnetic field around the coil. This changing magnetic field induces an alternating voltage in the secondary coil through electromagnetic induction. The ratio of the number of turns in the primary coil to the number of turns in the secondary coil determines the voltage transformation ratio of the transformer.
The laminated iron core is used to provide a low-reluctance path for the magnetic flux generated by the primary coil. The core's laminated structure helps to reduce eddy current losses and hysteresis losses, improving the efficiency of the transformer.
The alternating voltage induced in the secondary coil is then used to power the load. The power transformer allows for efficient transmission of electrical energy at high voltages, reducing losses due to resistance in the transmission lines. At the receiving end, the voltage is stepped down using another power transformer for safe utilization.
